£2m Campaign for Fully Funded Bursary Places

Development of our bursary programme remains a top priority. It is very easy to regard Malvern as a wealthy part of middle England, all Victorian villas, green spaces and fresh air. But the Social Mobility Commission and the Institute of Fiscal Studies found in Autumn 2020 that the Malvern Hills area was sitting near the very bottom of the social mobility table for young adults.

The path for social mobility is laid early in life. Education is all-important. Not just academic attainment, but an environment that nurtures, raises ambitions and gives purpose. That’s where means-tested bursaries get to work. Already, each year the School invests circa £500k in bursary provision, helping around one in four of our families. But by working together with our community we could do so much more – we need to raise more funding to reach wider and deeper.

See our Bursaries Case Statement below to find out more about our aims and ambitions and how you can help.
